Family Holiday Lighting ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Information by which you may be personally identified, such as your name, postal address, service address, email address, and telephone or mobile number ("personal information").
Information about the work you request from us: quotes, scheduling, job history, site photographs, and payment records.
Information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our website, and usage details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To prepare and send you estimates and quotes.
To schedule work and tell you when our crew will arrive.
To answer questions you ask us.
To invoice you and keep records required for tax, insurance, and warranty purposes.
To present our website and its contents to you.
To notify you about changes to our website or our services.

3. Text Messages and Your Mobile Number

If you give us your mobile number, we may send you text messages about your estimate, your schedule, our crew's arrival, and other matters relating to your service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile information or your text messaging consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared only with the service providers that help us deliver those messages, and only so that the messages reach you.

How you consent. Consent is collected verbally, in person or over the phone, at the moment you give us your mobile number, when you request an estimate or schedule work. This is the exact wording our owner and crew use:

"What's the best mobile number for you? We'll text you your quote and let you know when the crew's coming. Is that alright? You can reply STOP any time."

We record that you agreed, along with the date. When you submit our online estimate request form, you are asking us to contact you about that request, and we may call or text the number you give us about your estimate, scheduling and crew arrival. We never send promotional texts without your separate, express permission. If you start the form but do not submit it, we keep the contact details you entered so we can follow up by phone or email; we do not text you in that case. We do not use keywords, short codes, or text-to-join to collect numbers, and we never buy or rent phone numbers from third-party lists.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies. We text when there is something to tell you about your job, or when you have asked us something. There is no fixed schedule and no recurring broadcast.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will not text you again. Reply HELP for help, or email jeff@familyholidaylighting.com.

Marketing texts. We will not send you promotional or marketing text messages unless you have separately given us written permission to do so.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics and Google Site Kit to understand how visitors use the site, and tools that display notifications or offers. These may set cookies in your browser and collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, and device or browser type.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies. If you do, some parts of the site may not work as intended. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on Google provides.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. We share information only with:

Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our scheduling and invoicing software, our messaging provider, our website host, and our payment processor. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
Our installation crew, to the extent needed to perform your job.
Authorities, where the law requires it.

6. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep customer and job records as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy tax, insurance, and warranty obligations, generally seven years for financial records. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete information we are not legally required to retain, stop texting you (reply STOP), or stop emailing you (use the unsubscribe link). Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page, with the date it took effect at the top. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the website home page.
