The sandstone and the mature cottonwoods along the St. Vrain mean the most striking work here is trunk wrapping and canopy lighting rather than gutter lines — which is also why Lyons quotes look different to anywhere else we serve. Sanborn fire insurance map of Lyons, Colorado, 1904, showing the street grid and every building block by block — Population 700. The surveyors noted the town was lit by acetylene gas, and marked a Town Lighting Plant with acetylene generators on High Street. Lighting Lyons in December has been somebody’s job for well over a century.

Lyons runs a parade with its own theme and a forty-foot tree, in a town of two thousand people. Here is the season, and where an install has to land to be lit before it.

Lyons is a tree town, and trees take longer. Trunk wrapping and canopy work is slower per house than a gutter run, and canyon wind means everything has to be tensioned properly rather than just hung. We hold fewer Lyons days than valley towns — reserve in August.

Not the way we build them. Canyon gusts pull anything that is not properly tensioned, so Lyons installs are tensioned and secured differently to a valley-floor house. It is the single biggest thing that separates a Lyons install that lasts from one that does not.

Yes. If you have driven Main Street in December you have seen our work — the wrapped trunks along the park and the town evergreen are ours.

How much does Christmas light installation cost in Lyons?

Season packages start at $550. Lyons quotes tend to weight trees over roofline, so they scale with how many trunks and canopies you want rather than linear feet of gutter.

Is Lyons too far out for season service?

No. Lyons is on the same route as Longmont for our inspector, so it gets the same season checks and the same 48-hour repair promise.
